This beautiful, huge lake lies between Albania and Macedonia.
Lake Ohrid is surrounded on all sides by mountains with peaks up to 2000 meters high. It is 30 km long, up to 288 m deep and has average width of 11 km. Lake Ohrid came into existence in the past as a result of tectonic shifts. You can find there beautiful landscapes but also interesting monuments of old architecture like medieval Christian orthodox churches…
